About me.
Desirae LeBlanc, MSOT, OTR/L (she/her)
I’m Desirae, but most call me Des. I’m an occupational therapist with over six years of experience working primarily in home health and hospital settings. After seeing how pelvic floor dysfunction impacts people—especially during illness, injury, or major life changes—I pursued advanced training to become a Level 1 Functional Pelvic Health Practitioner™ to better support those navigating these challenges.
I believe pelvic floor issues shouldn’t be your “normal.” You deserve care that empowers you, informs you, and helps you feel in control so you can live your best life and be prepared for whatever life throws at you later. As an OT, I look beyond the physical, considering the emotional, social, and environmental factors that shape your life and impact your pelvic health. These things MATTER and are too often overlooked in traditional care models.
I’m an avid outdoors-person, so I’m passionate about working with others who share a love for the outdoors and want to stay active and connected to the activities they love. Whether you’re pregnant, postpartum, navigating pelvic floor dysfunction during your sport, or just want to learn more about your body, I’m here to help you do your thing with confidence and less pain.
My approach is centered around finding ways for you to do the activities you love while managing your symptoms. Are you having most of your symptoms on the bike? Let’s get on the trail and see whats happening. Are your symptoms when you play with your kid or dog? Let’s play with them and figure it out. The ability to meet you where you’re at is why I chose this business structure. Let’s get creative and functional with it!
To make care more accessible and flexible for your lifestyle, I currently offer both virtual sessions (for anywhere in Maine) and in-home visits in southern Maine.
Think we’d be a good fit? Let’s connect!
